The
weather was warm with over 60 cars racing throughout the day.
The
meeting kicked off with the Arthur Bright Memorial Race contested by the
FWD Hotrods. John Castle pulled away from the start and made the most of
the prepared track to take a dominant win.
Stockrods
entertained with some hard racing and quite considerable carnage
throughtout the day. Warrior turned out in a fine Austin A40, managing
to get the old runabout moving very quickly at times. With a roll over
from Tom Lamberts Fiesta and several cars running on 3 wheels at the
end, the stockrods certainly provided some action.
Productions,
Hotrods and the 12 Juniors put up some hard racing without too many
tangles.
The
meeting closed with a DD that was halted rather abruptly when the little
A40 took a very hard head on.
Thanks
to the prompt response from the St John Ambulance and the track
marshalls, Warrior is ok and is due back out for the Tribal Terrorism
Meeting on the 27th June.
