April meeting proved to be an entertaining opener for 2004. After the
rain managed to cancel the first two scheduled meetings it was good to
have some good weather and a full days racing.
Several
new drivers filled the grids for Juniors, and Stockrods put on a good
hotly contested show. With a good mix of rodders and also rans, the 35+
car field soon lost a few in the melee.
Specials
struggled for numbers and although flying at the start of the day, Adi
couldn't keep his fine example running all day.
Productions
and Hotrods ran well with some fast and hard fought races. These made
the most of the good track conditions with only a few ruts needing
attention towards the end of the day.
